About the Basketball Booster Club

The purpose of the basketball booster club is to promote the welfare of the RMHS basketball program with an emphasis on providing support, equipment, food and drink for all players, trainers and coaches. The booster club will promote the concepts of team spirit, morale, and positive sportsmanship while encouraging coaches, parents, players, and the community to work together in a unified effort to make the Rocky Mountain High School the top program in the state.

The Booster Club normally meets monthly (usually at RMHS). Information about these meetings is sent out via email and is available on the website. All parents are invited and encouraged to get involved. There will be opportunities for parents to get involved on committees and in activities throughout the year. Your involvement is essential so that we can provide athletes a great experience and ensure the success of the Rocky basketball program.

Booster fees are paid once a year by all players who make a team according to the grade level of your athlete:

  • Underclassmen: $130
  • Seniors: $150

Senior dues are higher because of additional senior-oriented activities including Senior Recognition night and additional recognition at the end-of-season banquet.

The Booster Club also:

  • Organizes end-of-season banquets. We cover the cost of each player to attend the banquet so that each player can participate. There is an additional fee for family members.
  • Maintains the RMHS Basketball web site and sends out email newsletters and announcements.
  • Arranges for pictures to be taken during basketball games to be added to the website for parent downloads.
  • Promotes the basketball program through donations from individuals and local businesses.
  • Supports the basketball program as needed.

Cash donations are always accepted and appreciated. The RMHS Basketball Booster club is a non-profit organization. Your donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.

Volunteers are needed each season for the following committees/activities:

  • Home   game  team meal organization
  • Sponsorship solicitation/ banners
  • Away   game food & drink
  • Fundraising
  •  Fan   gear
  • Senior   recognition night/Senior family photos
  • Varsity   representative
  • JV   representative
  •  C-Team   representative
  • D-Team   representative

What Else?

Your Booster club raises additional funds and donations for the basketball program through:

  • Food donations from local restaurants – Boosters coordinate/provide a mal to all players, coaches, statisticians, and trainers after each Varsity home game.
  • King Soopers Cards – You can donate to the booster program when you shop at King Soopers and use your loyalty card.
  • Banner Sponsorships – 3’x5’ banners are sold to local businesses and individuals who wish to support the program. A banner sponsorship provides the sponsor with:
  • Banner to be hung in the gym
  • Name in the media guide and game programs
  • Name announced at home games
  • Note: Initial banner sponsorship cost $350. Sponsors that re-use their banner in subsequent years are only charged $250 per year.
  • Fan Gear – The Booster Club will sell basketball-specific fan gear in the online store. The website will be open for orders prior to the beginning of the season. Fan gear is different than the spirit pack that your athlete can order as part of the basketball program. Coach Gallegos will take orders separately for your athlete’s spirit pack.
  • Fundraisers – Boosters will coordinate fundraisers throughout the year.

Please visit the basketball website and look for email newsletters for more information about Booster Club activities.
